Beyonce has earned an average of $63 million a year since 2007, including more than $100 million in 2014 and 2017.

Along with her $1.4 billion husband Jay-Z, Beyoncé is one of the most powerful and prominent couples in the world.

In 2014, the pair had a combined fortune of more than $1 million, and their combined wealth has nearly doubled since then.

How does she make money?

Beyoncé has been a record sales machine since Destiny’s Child in the 1990s.

The girl group has sold some 60 million albums, while Queen Bey herself has sold more than 120 million since debuting as a solo artist in 2003.

In 2016, Lemonade was the best-selling album in the world.

In addition to album sales, Beyoncé has landed two of the highest-grossing tours of all time: her own Formation tour following the release of Lemonade, and her joint On the Run II tour with Jay-Z.

She landed her landmark Coachella show to an eight-figure contract with Netflix.

After becoming the first black woman to headline the festival in 2018, Bey signed a $60 million deal with the streaming service to make a documentary about the performance.

Her performances at Coachella and the documentary “Homecoming” have received widespread critical acclaim.

Her stardom also opened the door to acting opportunities.

In 2002, she made her theatrical film debut in Goldmember’s Austin Powers, earning $3 million, while proving that she was also a rich movie star.

Beyoncé’s paycheck has only increased since she first hit the screen.

According to Cheat Sheet, Bey made $25 million for the voice of Nala in 2019’s The Lion King reboot — roughly $500,000 per line of dialogue.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z also both have “substantial stakes” in Tidal, with Jay buying the streaming service for $56 million in 2015 and more than $300 million in 2021, according to The Washington Post price for sale.

Other brand offers

Aside from her talent, much of Beyoncé’s success and prestige comes from her ability to work with and promote brands.

In 2012, she struck a $50 million deal with Pepsi that included a Super Bowl commercial and limited-edition Beyonce soda cans.

She has also signed endorsement deals with Loreal Paris, Tommy Hilfiger, Giorgio Armani, H&M, American Express and Nintendo in the past.

More than content to promote products for others, Bey launched her own fashion label, Ivy Park, in 2016.

One of Beyoncé’s most successful businesses is her fragrance line.

The star launched her first fragrance in 2010, and now has 14 scents in her line, according to Complex.

When her first fragrance, Heat, broke a Macy’s record of over $75,000 in one-day sales, the effort immediately set the tone for success.

By the end of 2013, Beyonce’s fragrance line had generated more than $400 million in global sales.

real estate

Beyoncé owns real estate across the country, and she and Jay-Z make a lot of money selling their homes.

StreetEasy gives us a glimpse into the couple’s “real estate empire,” including the $9.3 million Miami mansion they sold in 2010 and Beyoncé’s $5 million purchase in 2003 for less than $10 million New York condo for sale.

They bought the Bel Air mansion for $88 million in 2017, making it the most expensive mansion in Los Angeles at the time.

How does Beyonce spend her money?

Beyoncé and Jay-Z have built an impressive collection of cars since their marriage in 2008.

The couple own more than $13 million worth of cars, including a $8 million 2004 Maybach Exelero.

Bey gifted her husband a $2 million Bugatti Veyron Grand for her husband’s 41st birthday in 2020.

Large vehicle expenses are not limited to family cars.

In 2012, Beyoncé paid $40 million for a Bombardier Challenger 850 private jet as a Father’s Day gift.

According to Business Insider, Beyoncé also buys jewelry from jeweler Jacob, which sells fine watches and jewelry for $200,000 to $1 million.

In addition to exchanging gifts, Bey and Jay go to great lengths for their children, Blue Ivy, 10, and twins Sir and Rumi, 4.

The couple reportedly purchased $106,000 worth of cribs for the twins in 2017, but Rumi and Sir’s gifts have rarely been made public.

According to The Richest, Blue Ivy received an $80,000 Barbie doll adorned with real diamonds on her first birthday.

Business Insider reported that Beyonce and Jay-Z paid their eldest son $600,000 in 2012 for a solid gold rocking horse, which may not have been the only $500,000 gift she received.

After the 2021 Grammys, Blue Ivy was photographed celebrating her first award wearing a gold and gemstone crown.

Blue Ivy’s crown bears a striking resemblance to the one owned by Biggie Smalls, which sold for $594,750 at auction in September 2020.

According to hip-hop magazine XXL, there are rumors that Beyoncé and Jay-Z have won the bid.

However, it has not been confirmed whether Blue’s crown is actually Biggie’s signature tiara.

Throughout her career, Beyoncé has also built a reputation for philanthropy.

Some of her most high-profile donations include investing $6 million in Covid-19 relief in the early months of the pandemic, and when she donated the $4 million she received from the film Cadillac Records to drug rehab centers.
