Has anyone won the $75 million Tuesday jackpot?

The February 22 Mega Millions lottery has an estimated $75 million jackpot and a $50.1 million cash value option.

Lucky numbers for this draw will be announced Tuesday at 11pm ET. Regular white balls are 06, 17, 22, 57 and 62.

Meanwhile, the special yellow Mega Ball is 03, and the 3X Megaplier bonus is in effect (giving the winner a chance to potentially triple their earnings).

Did anyone win the Millions on February 22nd?

If you go to the official Mega Millions website, you can find the results of all previous draws. These are presented in a table with graphs showing how many people in each prize tier won and whether any of them paid an extra $1 for the Megaplier prize.

On Tuesday, February 22, none of the lottery entrants were able to guess all five white and yellow giant balls, meaning the jackpot prize went unclaimed. The money will now be carried over to the next draw on Friday.

February 22 Millionaire Results

No one has ever won $1 million by matching five white balls.

A total of 12 people correctly guessed the four white balls and the yellow super ball (netting $10,000 each). In this group, two people chose to buy the Megaplier, so their prize tripled to $30,000.

The next prize has 260 winners, which is matching four white balls. These players will all receive $500, but 59 of them have raised their earnings through Megaplier.

Meanwhile, 802 people matched three white balls and a yellow power ball worth $200. Prize money for 165 of those entrants also increased by $600.

On the smaller prize, a total of 36,126 players won $10 (by matching three white balls or two white and one yellow ball).

In the end, 135,892 players matched a white ball and a yellow ball (worth $4), and 314,097 players only got the super ball (worth $2).

How to Play Mega Millions

The Mega Millions lottery is played every Tuesday and Friday at 11pm EST.

To enter one of the draws, you will need to purchase a $2 ticket. These products are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. However, they cannot be purchased in Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada or Utah.

Once you get a ticket, you need to choose your lucky number. You need to guess five normal white balls (any value between 1 and 70), and a special yellow super ball (between 1 and 25).

If you match all six balls (reportedly, the odds of doing so are 1 in 302,575,350), then you’ll be eligible for the jackpot. The exact amount offered by this jackpot varies from draw to draw, as it depends on overall ticket sales and the time since the last person won.

As is the case with the Powerball lottery, you can accept your winnings as a one-time payment or as annuity payments spread over a 29-year period.

Even if you don’t win the jackpot, you can still win some money from Mega Millions. The lottery has nine different prize tiers ranging from $2 to $1 million. For example, if you successfully guess the four white balls and the super ball, you will still net at least $10,000.

If you opt-in to the Megaplier bonus (by paying an additional $1), your bonus may be doubled, tripled, quadrupled or five times the original amount. This doesn’t apply to jackpots, and it doesn’t matter if you don’t match any lottery numbers at all.

Megaplier effects are randomly determined at the start of each draw. For example, on February 22, it was set to 3X.
